Catherine is an emerging artist and photographer. Since the early 90’s she has travelled the world to over thirty countries, capturing landscape, places, wildlife and people.

Her visit to Africa 27 years ago left a big impression, and she always knew she would return. In 2017 she climbed Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak and in doing so, met Tanzanian Emmanueli, a chance meeting that changed the trajectory of her career. She set about selling her art photography, crowdfunding and curating an art auction, to help Emmanueli achieve his dream of an education- a Diploma in Safari guiding and wildlife management.

Catherine has continued to develop her fine art photography print collections, worked as an art curator and is now author of her first photobook, African Ark.

As a wildlife warrior, Catherine grew up with world heritage conservation battles raging in her Tasmanian homeland, from the lost Lake Pedder, to the wild and free Franklin River. Her passion is in continuing to shine a light on what we are in danger of losing. She reminds us all about the importance of preserving our fragile environment for our future generations before it is too late.

At moments of great enthusiasm it seems to me that no one in the world has ever made something this beautiful and important.
